Star Wars is a science fiction franchise comprised of movies, books, comics, video games, toys, and animated shows. It is afictional universe created by George Lucas. The Star Wars story employs archetypal motifs common to science fiction, political climax and classical mythology, as well as musical motifs of those aspects.









LUKE SKYWALKER 
Luke Skywalker is the hero of the original trilogy of Star Wars saga. Natural asteroid colony of Polis Massa, is the son of Senator Padmé Amidala and Anakin Skywalker Jedi Knight. It has a twin sister, Leia Organa, but which does not know because both are separated and hidden to protect Emperor Palpatine (Darth Sidious). At any rate his mother dies in childbirth and the father comes to the dark side, where it thrives to become powerful and sinister side of the Emperor, Luke Skywalker is in the care of his uncle Owen Lars and Beru Lars, on the planet Tatooine. Here, in his youth, begins a spectacular adventure that takes him to his sister's existence and identity of his father.
Luke Skywalker is a key character, a sort of savior or chosen, knowing intuitively expanded universe, whose role grows as a powerful Jedi master, able to redo the order, and hero of the Republic.
Luke Skywalker is played by Mark Hamill in episodes IV, V and VI, and Aiden Barton in Episode III.







Darth Vader
DARTH VADER 
Darth Vader (born Anakin Skywalker) is the central character of the Star Wars saga, appearing as one of the main antagonists of theoriginal trilogy and as the main protagonist of the prequel trilogy.
The character was created by George Lucas and numerous actors have

portrayed him. His appearances span all six Star Wars films, and he is an

important character in the expanded universe of television series, video

games, novels, literature and comic books. The films establish that there

was originally a Jedi Knight named Anakin who fell to the dark side of the

 Force; he is also revealed to be the father of both Luke Skywalker and

Princess Leia Organa, the two main protagonists of the original trilogy.

After turning to the Dark Side, Vader is a ruthless henchman of Emperor

Palpatine; he secretly intends to overthrow Palpatine to establish himself

as ruler of the Empire. Vader is ultimately revealed to have personal

honor in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, when he sacrifices

himself to save his son, Luke.








Yoda
Yoda is a character in the Star Wars universe, first appearing in the 1980 film Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. In the original films, he trains Luke Skywalker to fight against the evil Galactic Empire. In the prequel films, he serves as Grand Master of the Jedi Council and as a general in the Clone Wars.
In 2007, Yoda was selected by Empire magazine as the 25th greatest movie character of all time. On their list of the 100 Greatest Fictional Characters, Fandomania.com ranked Yoda at number 60.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan Kenobi is a character in the Star Wars universe. He is one of several primary characters in the Star Wars series. Along with Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader), R2-D2 and C-3PO, he is one of only four characters to appear in all six Star Wars films. He is portrayed in the original trilogy by Alec Guinness and in the prequel trilogy by Ewan McGregor, and is voiced by James Arnold Taylor in the film Star Wars: The Clone Warsand its spin-off TV series.







Palpatine


Palpatine is a fictional character and the main antagonist of the Star Wars saga, portrayed by Ian McDiarmid in the feature films.

Palpatine first appeared as the unnamed Emperor of the Galactic Empire in the 1980 film Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, and was voiced by Clive Revill. He is an aged, pale-faced figure who wears dark robes. In Return of the Jedi, Palpatine (now portrayed by Ian McDiarmid) oversees the final stages of the war between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire, culminating in a confrontation with Luke Skywalker, in which Palpatine is ultimately destroyed.

In the films and the Expanded Universe, Palpatine is portrayed as cunning and deceptive in manipulating people and events to achieve his goals. Palpatine's principal desire is to have ultimate power. Palpatine presents himself in public to others as a modest, polite, and harmless person.However, behind this public persona he is a ruthless megalomaniac.

In the prequel trilogy, Palpatine is a middle-aged politician of the Republic who rises to power through deception and treachery. As the Senator fromNaboo and later the Chancellor of the Republic, he outwardly behaves like a well-intentioned and loyal public servant and supporter of democracy, yet underneath his affable public persona lurks his true identity: Darth Sidious, a Dark Lord of the Sith. As both Palpatine and Sidious, he sets into motion a series of events—including the Clone Wars—which ultimately destroy the Jedi Knights and the Republic, allowing him to usher in theGalactic Empire, a brutal authoritarian regime.




HAN SOLO 
Han Solo is a character in the Star Wars universe. He is portrayed in film by Harrison Ford. In the film Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (1977), Han Solo and his Wookiee co-pilot, Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), become involved in the Rebel Alliance against the Galactic Empire. Over the course of the Star Wars franchise, Solo becomes a chief figure in the Alliance and succeeding galactic governments. Star Wars creator George Lucasdescribed Solo as "a loner who realizes the importance of being part of a group and helping for the common good"









Princess Leia
Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan (born Leia Amidala Skywalker; later Leia Organa Solo), often referred to as simply Princess Leia, is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe. She is portrayed by actress Carrie Fisher in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, and The Star Wars Holiday Special. Aiden Barton appeared as an infant Leia in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Ann Sachs provided the voice of Leia in the 1980s radio dramatizations of theoriginal Star Wars trilogy, and Lisa Fuson did so for the Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, Star Wars: Masters of Teräs Käsi, Star Wars: Rebellion, and Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds video games.

She is one of the main protagonists of the original Star Wars trilogy. In Return of the Jedi, it is revealed that she is the twin sister of Luke Skywalker, and thus the daughter of Darth Vader. In the Star Wars prequel films, her mother is identified as Padmé Amidala; her adoptive father isBail Organa, who is depicted as the head of Alderaan's royal family and a supporting character in the prequels. In later Star Wars literature she marries Han Solo, her romantic interest in the original films, and has three children with him, whose names are Jacen, Jaina, and Anakin.








Padmé Amidala
Padmé Amidala (born Padmé Naberrie) is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe. She first appeared on film in the 1999 feature film, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, as the young queen of the planet Naboo. In subsequent prequel trilogy films, Padmé represents Naboo in the Galactic Senate. She is featured in the animated miniseries Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003–2005), Star Wars: The Clone Wars and in Star Wars literature. Padmé is the secret wife of Anakin Skywalker and mother of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa.
Born in a mountain village on Naboo to Ruwee Naberrie and Jobal Naberrie, 48 years before the events of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope(1977), Padmé Naberrie became known successively by her Name of State as Princess Amidala of Theed, later becoming Queen Amidala ofNaboo and Senator Amidala of the Galactic Republic, who adheres to the principles of democracy and rule of law. Padme is the sister of Sola Naberrie and the aunt of Senator Pooja Naberrie who eventually became a very good friend of Padme's daughter Princess Leia whilst not knowing each other's relation
Initial drafts of Star Wars written by Lucas in the 1970s do not explain the role which the mother of Luke and Leia plays in the saga. Vague references are made to her in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983), but the character was not fully realized until the prequel trilogy of films that were released between 1999 and 2005. Padmé Amidala was portrayed by actress Natalie Portman in the trilogy. An elaborate wardrobe was tailored for the character by costume designer Trisha Biggar.





C-3PO

C-3PO is a robot character from the Star Wars universe who appears in both the original Star Wars films and the prequel trilogy. He was also a major character in the ABC television show Droids, and appears frequently in the series' "Expanded Universe" of novels, comic books, and video games. Along with Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader), Obi-Wan Kenobiand R2-D2, he is one of only four characters to appear in all six Star Wars films. C-3PO (played by Anthony Daniels) and R2-D2 (played by Kenny Baker) are the only characters portrayed by the same actor in all six films.
C-3PO is a protocol droid designed to serve human beings, and boasts that he is fluent in "over six million forms of communication". He is generally seen with his long-time counterpart, R2-D2. Threepio's main function is to assist etiquette, customs, and translation, so that meetings of different cultures run smoothly. Threepio and R2-D2 played vital and pivotal roles in the Galaxy's history[citation needed]. While many protocol/interpretor droids range in color, C-3PO's own identifying colors are primarily gold with silver from the right knee down.





Jar Jar Binks
Jar Jar Binks is a fictional character from the Star Wars Saga (appears in: Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Episode II: Attack of the Clones,Episode III: Revenge of the Sith), and the television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. His primary role was to provide comic relief. Jar Jar was voiced by Ahmed Best, and was almost completely computer generated.
Chewbacca
Chewbacca, also known as Chewwie, is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, portrayed by Peter Mayhew. In the series' narrative chronology, he appears in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Episode IV: A New Hope, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.
